Q: Do you perform same sex partnerships and ceremonies?
A: Absolutely.
Q: What happens if I am not sure if I want a really simple or complex ceremony?
A: I will work with you, as a couple, through our initial meetings to understand what exactly it is you want in your ceremony. From there I will offer my guidance based on my experience as to where we should take it.
Q: How do I apply for a Marriage License?
A: In NJ - The marriage license application is to be made in the New Jersey municipality in which either party resides. If neither applicant is a New Jersey resident, submit the application in the municipality where the marriage ceremony will be performed. Typically this needs to be completed 2 weeks before the ceremony and is good for 30 days.
In PA - Applicants that wish to be legally married in the state of Pennsylvania must first apply for a marriage license application at their nearest Marriage License Bureau of the Register of Wills and complete the application process
Q: How far in advance should we book you?
A: Every date is different, but most couples hire me 3-6 months before their wedding. I'm more than happy to accept short-term bookings, but for weddings April-October I recommend getting in contact with me as soon as possible to reserve my services for your date.
Q: Should we invite you to the reception?
A: I appreciate your thought but it's very rare that I stay for a reception. Typically, I'll hang around and mingle with your guests after the end of the ceremony. Once your marriage license is all squared away, I will make a quiet exit.
Q: How long will you hold our date?
A: I know you have many stressful decisions to make throughout your wedding planning process. That is why I will hold your date for 5 days after our initial contact. This will give us time to meet and discuss and will allow you time to make an informed decision.
